By implementing environmental management systems according to ISO 14001, we will strive to continuously improve our environmental performance. We take responsibility for environmental care, health and safety and each employee plays an important role in relation to our environmental objectives. Tasks and responsibilities shall be clarified at relevant levels of our organization. We will work to increase our employees’ awareness and knowledge of environmental, health and safety issues.

We recognize climate change issues as very important for society and our company. By applying the principles of our Environmental Policy, we will strive to reduce the “carbon footprint” of Gold Key Processing. The guidelines of the Environmental Policy are the following:

Continual Improvement

• Our overall objective is that the activities of Gold Key Processing shall not harm the environment or have a negative effect on human health.
• We will strive to improve our environmental performance by setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets.

Compliance with Legislation

• Our operations shall be conducted in compliance with current local environmental, health and safety legislation.
• We will strive to meet any other environmental requirement as requested by our customers.

Resource Efficiency

• Our operations shall be distinguished by a resource-efficient use of energy, water, raw materials and other natural resources.
• Whenever there is a change of processes, we shall use the opportunity to evaluate the possibility of environmental improvements.

Waste, Emissions and chemicals

• Waste and emissions shall be minimized and Gold Key Processing will strive to efficiently recycle waste products.
• Best available practices shall be applied to minimize risks for pollution of soil and groundwater.
• We shall continually work to reduce environmental, health and safety risks associated with the use of hazardous chemicals in manufacturing processes.

Health and Safety

• We shall offer safe workplaces and by risk analyses, training programs and other precautionary measures, ensure that our employees will perform their work in a safe and healthy way.
• We shall work to prevent accidents and uncontrolled emissions by systematic risk analyses, preventive actions and emergency preparedness.

Evaluation of Performance

• We shall review our objectives and indicators and evaluate our performance via Management Review and performing regular audits.
• Our progress shall be accountable annually.
